Cherie Whitby
Chair of Trustees
Cherie’s career spans programme management, accountancy, and law, with extensive experience in the NHS, local government, and the commercial sector. She has spent seven years working with Autistic young people and adults, developing key skills in organisation, communication, budget management, and legal compliance.
She brings a deep understanding of advocacy, policy, and strategic leadership, making her an invaluable asset to Long Covid Kids. Having personally experienced Long Covid since 2022, Cherie is committed to ensuring that children and young people affected by the condition receive the recognition, support, and access to care they deserve.
Her lived experience gives her a unique perspective on the challenges faced by children and families, driving her passion for amplifying their voices and ensuring they are heard by policymakers, educators, and healthcare providers. As Chair of Trustees, Cherie will play a key role in strengthening the charity’s impact, shaping strategy, and advocating for meaningful change.
Cherie is dedicated to fostering research collaborations and ensuring that the charity continues to grow and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people affected by Long Covid and related conditions.
