Five Years Of The Pandemic And Our Collective Advocacy
Five years since Long Covid changed lives. Five years of uncertainty, of searching for answers, of waiting for recognition, research, and care. Five years of a community; adults, children, young people, and caregivers fighting to be heard, recognised, and supported.
It has been tough, harder than it ever should have been.
Children and young people have seen their futures disrupted, and their health and education have been impacted in ways we are only beginning to understand. Parents and caregivers have had to become advocates, navigating a system that has too often failed to provide the support their loved ones desperately need.
No one should have to fight for the care they need. No one should have to be resilient just to be believed. And yet, here we are.
But something remarkable has happened despite it all. We have stood together, lifted each other up, and kept going when it felt impossible. We are still here, still advocating, and still fighting for change and a brighter future for children and young people.
This is what our new International Long Covid Awareness Pins represent, not just the struggle, but the strength we have found in each other. They are a symbol of the hope that keeps us moving forward, the support we give and receive, and the commitment to a future where no one has to face this alone.
Introducing Three New Long Covid Awareness Charity Pins
To mark this milestone and continue raising awareness, we are proud to launch three meaningful symbols of our collective journey:
The Long Covid Kids Charity Pin
Created in consultation with children and young people with lived experience of Long Covid, this pin is a bold symbol of their courage and determination.
Designed to ensure children and young people are included in every discussion and to highlight the impact of Long Covid on families, it stands as a symbol of hope, strength, and the ongoing fight for recognition and care.
Available as a pack of two.
The Limited Edition Five-Year Commemorative Pin
A unique design featuring five teal rings, each representing a year of struggle, advocacy, and hope. The final ring forms a bold ‘5’, a reminder that despite everything, we are still here, standing together as a community.
Created for awareness in collaboration with Long Covid Support to reflect the real experiences of those living with this condition.
Available as a single pin.
The Long Covid Awareness Ribbon Pin
A simple yet powerful emblem of solidarity, created to raise awareness and show visible support for those affected.
Created for awareness in collaboration with Long Covid Support to reflect the real experiences of those living with this condition.
Available as a single pin or in a multisave pack of four.
Designed By The Community, For The Community
The awareness ribbon represents hope and support, while the commemorative pin acknowledges the hard road we have walked together—five years of being unheard, unseen, and yet still pushing forward.
Using the international awareness colours—teal for hope and support, black for loneliness and isolation—these pins are more than just accessories. They are a statement, a reminder, and a call to action.
