Dr Anna Brooks, BCA PhD
Dr Brooks is a cellular immunologist with a broad background in human immunology, with specific training and expertise in advanced cell characterization using high dimensional flow cytometry. She is also Director of Auckland Cytometry, the flow cytometry Shared Resource Laboratory for the Faculty of Science.
Dr Brooks has a strong interest in understanding the underlying mechanisms and immune dysfunction of Long COVID and its relationship with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and is leading a study in New Zealand to undertake this research. She is also involved in international Long Covid research collaborations. Dr Brooks is a Long Covid advocate for New Zealand and sits on the Associated New Zealand ME Society (ANZMES).
